Pantai Pasir Hitam
Pantai Pasir Hitam is a unique beach to visit. Whilst conventionally, Langkawi’s beaches have soft, white sands, the sand at Pantai Pasir Hitam has streaks of black sand. The black sand has been caused by mineral oxides and has led to an interesting mix of black and beige coloured sand at Pantai Pasir Hitam. The name itself literally translates to black sand beach.
The sea at Pantai Pasir Hitam is scattered with large boulders and has a fishing jetty where local boats moor. In addition to the beach, there are local stalls selling crafts and food.
